Max. size:  21.4 cm SL (male/unsexed); 24.6 cm SL (female)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 82 - 230 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: mid Baja California, Mexico to about 3°S.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-15; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 12-13; Vertebrae: 47-49. Branchiostegal rays: 14.
Biology:  Found over muddy and sandy bottoms of the continental shelf (Ref. 9274). Depth range based on holotype (Ref. 9274). Oviparous, with planktonic larvae (Ref. 35928).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 12 October 2018 Ref. (130435)
