Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Schizothoracinae
Max. size:  126 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Boston Lake and Yarkant River in Xinjiang Autonomous Region, China.
Diagnosis:  Snout depressed; barbels 1 pair; scales minute or buried in skin on abdomen.
Biology:  Inhabits lakes and rivers with slight current and lives on other fishes and aquatic insects (Ref. 45563).
