Max. size:  2.93 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 15 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Sulawesi, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 67-67; Anal soft rays: 49-49; Vertebrae: 35-35. Description: Characterized by generally plain white color; all dorsal rays and anal rays unbranched; caudal rays 18; pectoral fins absent; lateral line of eyed side 73, including nine anterior to upper end of gill opening, where it forks, with ventral branch from lower fork over edge of preopercle; absence of caudal peduncle; ctenoid scales; depth of body 2.7 in SL (Ref. 90102).
Biology:  Holotype which is probably a juvenile or subadult was caught in plastic bag on dark, silty sand (Ref. 75879).
