Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 366 - 567 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: off Nicaragua and from Mona Island to Dominica in the Antilles.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-12; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 12-13; Vertebrae: 52-53. Smooth scales; 5 branchiostegal rays; lacking a silvery pigment on swim bladder; body depth 10 or more times in SL (Ref. 40914).
