Max. size:  8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 9 - 30 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: San Clemente Island, southern California, USA to Gulf of California and offshore islands of the eastern Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in rocky reefs (Ref. 11482). Seeks shelter during the day (Ref. 37955). Feeds on crustaceans, mollusks and other small invertebrates (Ref. 37955). Minimum depth reported taken from Ref. 2850.
