Max. size:  5.49 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Orteguaza (Amazon basin) and upper Guaviare (Orinoco basin) river drainages in Colombia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 16-17; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-8; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 6-13; Vertebrae: 24-26. Distinguished uniquely from all other congeners in having a prominent dark blotch around the ventral base of the pectoral fin, separate from a small dark spot at the dorsal base of the pectoral fin (Ref. 52483).
