This species is distinguished by the following characters: high number of rays D2 I,18; A I,9; monochromatic brown color with black dorsal, anal, ventral and caudal fins; a diffuse black longitudinal stripe along the oculo-scapular channel; ventral fins are completely fused to sucker; short pectoral fins rays (Ref. 129588). |
