Max. size:  8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Mobile Bay drainage in Alabama and Mississippi, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults occur in main channels, usually with current, of small to large rivers. Often found over sand or gravel (Ref. 131297). Migratory behaviour is undetermined (Ref. 126106).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 01 March 2012 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
