Diagnosis: |
Vertebrae: 41-42. This species is distinguished by the following characters: ventral keel naked or covered with 1-3 scales between the posterior pelvic-fin base and the anus; interorbital distance wider than the eye diameter and snout length; total lateral-line scales 48-55; scale rows between anal fin origin and lateral line 5-6; branched anal-fin rays 13½-14½; total vertebrae 41-42 (Ref. 124016). |

The species was collected from fast-flowing clear waters with cobble and pebble substrates (Ref. 124016). |
