Plain dark brown body and fins, sometimes with 6-8 narrow stripes; triangular snout from dorsal view with only small tubercles and no transverse groove; lateral line scales 45-47+2-3; caudal peduncle 1.8-2.2 times longer than deep; 8+1/2 branched dorsal-fin rays (Ref. 27732). Upper lip and disc with oval outline; no barbels (Ref. 43281). |
