Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: known only from the Kinatabangan and Segama river drainages, and possibly from the Kayan River drainage in northeastern Borneo, Malaysia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 1-1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 5-5; Anal soft rays: 8-9; Vertebrae: 35-36. Color pattern with many small blotches of various shades of brown, with many small, dark brown spots on the dorsal surface of the head. Dorsal-fin base 10.8-13.1% SL. Rounded posterior margin of adipose fin. Pectoral spine without serrations (Ref. 37794).
