Remarks Inhabits bays and estuaries (Ref. 9768); also coral reefs (Ref. 58534). Found in schools in seagrass beds and rocky reefs (Ref. 9563). Feeds mainly on fishes. Exhibits diurnal behavior, specially as juveniles (Also Ref. 9773). Also caught with set nets (Ref. 9768). Found near the surface and off the bottom. Piscivorous ambush predator (Ref. 9773).
