Remarks Eggs and pro-larvae occur only in marine. Certain post larval and early juvenile stages occur occasionally in mangrove estuaries. Adults mainly marine. Infested by the isopod Nerocila depressa (Ref. 124798). Schooling pelagic planktivores and are opportunistic foragers. Presence of zoobenthos in stomach indicates benthic feeding (Ref. 133445).
