Ecology of Protogobius attiti

Remarks Feeds mainly on small freshwater crustaceans, especially transparent shrimp which are very abundant. Prefers areas with gravel and overhanging vegetation in slower areas of swift, clear streams. The rocks and gravel usually coated with detritus. Hides into the substrate when threatened, its eyes and mouth and first dorsal fin above the gravel.
