Ecology of Nothobranchius taiti

Main Ref. Nagy, B., 2019
Remarks Found in a temporary pool, with turbid water, formed in the extensive floodplain of the seasonal Apapi River. Surrounding habitat was partially overgrown with grass. The water temperature around noon was 30.3 °C, the pH was 7.3 and contained 52 ppm of total dissolved solids. Stomach contents of two adult wild-caught specimens show that this species is a micropredator, feeding on small aquatic crustaceans, worms, insect larvae and other zooplankton (Ref. 128031).
