Remarks Occurs in deep-sea (50-675 m) bottom dweller (Ref. 41722). Feeds on scales of fishes (Ref. 6660, 41722). The scale morphology indicated that the species steals scales from the caudalfin and base of prey. Presence of long tubular snout was recognized for obtaining scales, the mouth was twisted to various degrees, either to the left or to the right (Ref. 41722).
