Remarks Prefers brackish waters, often found in estuaries and coastal lagoons (Also Ref. 9773). Forms schools. Feeds on small bottom invertebrates (Ref. 3409). Larvae develop in sandy-bottomed estuaries (Ref. 129476). Dwells in coral reefs, sandy and rocky substrates. Demersal. Shoaling species. Feeds on bivalves, amphipods, crabs and polychaetes (Ref. 9773).
