Remarks Found in deepwater coral mounds, using them for protection. Associated with live and/or dead scleractinian corals. Dwells on dense coral rubble. Recorded from temperatures of 9.67 to 11.5°C. Likely an opportunistic feeder, consuming crustaceans and fish based on congener that resides in similar environments (Ref. 131551).
