Remarks Inhabits shallow, sandy or marshy areas (Ref. 13337). Shoals in clear, slow-flowing or quiet, well-vegetated waters. Frequency of occurence in Caprivi: occasionally in sandy streams, occasionally on rocky streams, abundant in standing deep water, common in shallow swamps(Ref. 037065). Feeds on small aquatic and terrestrial organisms.
