Average size 80-120 cm, reaching about 160 cm with an average weigtht range of 5-20 kg. Capable of eating quite large fish including hoki, grenadiers, and southern blue whiting, as well as bottom-dwelling crustaceans. More common in in the south and extending over the Campbell Plateau. |
