| Quote | The presence of Exocoetus volitans Linnaeus, 1758 [Fam. Exocoetidae] is doubtful in the Greek seas since has been reported only by Belloc (1948). Recent studies have proved the rare presence of the species only in the W. Mediterranean sea: Gulf of Genova (Arbocco, 1964), Southern France (Whitehead et al., 1986) and along the south-eastern Spanish coasts (Fisher et al., 1987). |
