| Quote | Cheilopogon exsiliens, has been reported by Erhard (1858) and Heldreich (1878) in the Kyklades islands. This is a misidentification because Cheilopogon exsiliens has been recorded only from W. Atlantic (Cape Cod, Massachusetts), Bermuda and Gulf of Mexico, whilst records from N.E. Atlantic and Mediterranean need verification (Parin, in Whitehead et al., 1986). |
