Description of culture system |
Agriculture lime and chicken manure (CM) were initially applied at a rate of 2 t/ha. CM was then applied thrice a week at a rate of 57.6 kg/ha/mo. Water was maintained at about 60 cm depth. |

Description of Nutrient input |
Natural food organisms present in the pond generated from the application of chicken manure. Feeds (20% crude protein) was also given 6 times a week at a rate of 6% of fish biomass. Feed composition included rice bran, ipil-ipil (Leucaena leucocephala) leaf meal, corn meal, fishmeal, soybean meal, vegetable oil, vitamin premix and shrimp head meal. |
